Quantum Spirituality
Re-energise your work and re-energise your life by tapping into the spirit within for healing all aspects of our lives that are affected by stress. It has been proven that high levels of stress can quickly lead to serious health problems such as heart attacks, anxiety and phobias, along with decreased efficiency and productivity, increased error rates, inattention, absenteeism and burnout. How we feel and act, our subtle being, has a direct and immediate effect on those around us and in our workplaces.
The dialogues within the schools of Neuro-Theology, current scientific research on human dynamics and the connectedness of all life has significant implications for how we interact within our classrooms, staffrooms and the workplace in general. Many people notice a ‘shift in the energy’ but are unable to articulate what has occurred. We are living this connectedness within our offices, schools, and living rooms as day-to-day life.
It stands to reason that people who are well in all senses of the word, who are connected with their spirit, and are able to ‘go within’ easily, are more productive and have the mental, emotional and physical energy to be their best. The key to stress management is how we respond to it.
Denise Quinn will present some contemporary research into improving our lives and our workplace practices, as well as some simple tools to control the pressures that have the potential to deplete our energy.
Look Younger and Feel Fabulous with Meditation - The Essential Tool For Teachers
The Christian understanding of the importance of stillness is just being re-awakened. As Westerners we are more often ‘head-centred’ when it comes to our spirituality and our faith.
‘Meditation’ is becoming a trendy buzzword making the rounds in the workplace, and even those who wouldn’t have given the concept a second thought a few years ago are now going within to quieten the mind, break the anxiety cycle and enhance their personal lives as well as workplace creativity and productivity. It is an extraordinarily powerful tool for personal and spiritual growth as well as physical and mental relaxation. Meditation has been practised for thousands of years and today it is growing to have serious relevance for an ever-increasing number of people both in one’s private life and in the workplace.
Health effects of regular meditation: normalisation of blood pressure; lowered cholesterol; faster recovery from stress; improved sleep; enhanced creativity; slows down the aging process. Other benefits to you are a balanced body and mind through a variety of proven breathing techniques; greater clarity of thought, decision making skills and problem solving leading to increased productivity; improved health and well-being.
When we ‘wake up’ to the Christ presence within us, that centre of our being, we leave behind the attachments that clutter our world. Meditation is one way to enter that sacred place and be one with the still centre where God works deep in our soul. This workshop aims to ‘whet the appetite’ for further opportunities in meditation and contemplative prayer.
The Healing Touch
The ancient practice of laying on of hands, as used in the rituals of many religious traditions, has much to offer us today to bring comfort and to assist the body’s natural regeneration. The use of natural therapies is more wide spread today than ever before within the traditional health fields. Research is revealing that the ability to use therapeutic touch to help or to heal is a natural potential in all of us. This workshop will give some insight into this ancient ritual practice as well as some simple techniques to work with the healing touch for both physical and spiritual well being.
